    The 4th Annual North Platte Area Sports Commission Tanking Race is an exciting adventure in the middle of winter... in a stock tank. It's up to the weather man to determine if we wear shorts or a parka on this 2 mile trek down the Platte River from Buffalo Bill State Recreation Area to Cody Park. This event is an annual fundraiser for the North Platte Area Sports Commission and helps fund and support sports tourism driving events into our community each year. The Rail Yard Ringer Open Horseshoe Tournament will occur at the Horseshoe Pitching Facility located on the East end of Cody Park on September 11th & 12th, 2021.
