The 4th Annual North Platte Area Sports Commission Tanking Race is an exciting adventure in the middle of winter... in a stock tank. It's up to the weather man to determine if we wear shorts or a parka on this 2 mile trek down the Platte River from Buffalo Bill State Recreation Area to Cody Park. This event is an annual fundraiser for the North Platte Area Sports Commission and helps fund and support sports tourism driving events into our community each year. Each summer we conduct several satellite camps in various towns throughout the state of Nebraska. Satellite Camps are what we consider All Skills Camps on the road! Lunch is provided to all participants and is included in the registration fee. SPECIAL NOTE: Everyone who attends a camp through the Nebraska Baseball Academy is required to submit a WAIVER. This waiver will be attached to the email confirmation you receive from the Nebraska Baseball Academy after you register for camp. The James O'Rourke Memorial Triathlons are open, inclusive events that provide athletes of every ability level the opportunity to participate in the sport of triathlon. We offer three divisions — Competitive, for experienced athletes; Fitness, for triathletes who are getting started on their journey; and Relay, which allows teams of three to share the triathlon experience. MayDay 4 Grady is a men’s slow pitch softball tournament, sanctioned by USA Softball, that benefits families of children battling pediatric cancer. To date, we’ve donated $15,000.
