The 4‑H Shooting Sports National Championships is held each June in Grand Island, Nebraska, at the Heartland Public Shooting Park. The event is hosted by Nebraska 4‑H. 4‑H youth from across the country will compete in compound archery, recurve archery, air rifle, air pistol, .22 rifle, .22 pistol, shotgun, muzzleloading, and hunting skills.

Competitors will compete in the following events: .22 Rifle Prone .22 Silhouette Action Pistol Adult Trap and Skeet BB Gun and Air Rifle/Pistol High Power Rifle Internet Bunker Trap Muzzleloading Pistol Plinking Pistol Rimfire Challenge Sporting Clays Youth Trap

The focus of this program is to develop youth as individuals and productive citizens. Youth learns marksmanship, safe and responsible use of firearms, the principles of hunting and archery, and much more. They will compete in the following areas:  Archery, Air Rifle, Air Pistol, Smallbore Rifle and Pistol, Hunting and Outdoor Skills, Shotgun, Muzzleloading Youth will come across the entire United States to compete in central Nebraska at one of the finest shooting venues in the Midwest. Through the efforts and leadership of many volunteers across the country, positive experience for many youth  Competitions are held in air rifle, air pistol, compound and recurve bow, smallbore pistol, muzzleloader, small bore rifle, hunting skills, wildlife ID/management, and shotgun trap.
