Whoopers & Hoopers

The Hastings Family YMCA is excited to be partnering with Whoopers and Hoopers to bring back one of the biggest basketball tournaments in the Midwest!  This tournament will be played 5v5, full court, with men's and women's divisions.  The Men's 40+ Division will be played 4v4 on a shorter full court.  Get your team together and join us for a fun weekend with great competition! This tournament includes payouts for every division, t-shirts, and a player's party!  Every division is guaranteed 3 games.  Multiple event venues will be used.

The Aksarben Tirc (Crit Nebraska backwards) is bringing racing back to Aksarben! This criterium race will be a high energy high paced event on the streets of Aksarben. A criterium is a bicycle race of a specified number of laps on a closed course over public roads closed to normal traffic. We like to describe it as Formula 1 on a bicycle! Join us in Aksarben Village on May 17 for a race like no other.

USA Triathlon Multisport National Championship Festival Presented by Mutual of Omaha

The 2025 USA Triathlon Multisport Festival is coming back to Omaha! Races will be held at Lake Cunningham, a 390-acre lake surrounded by a 1,050-acre park located in north central Omaha. Lake Cunningham underwent significant renovations beginning in 2017 and reopened in August 2021. Athletes can expect a rolling bike course with a scenic and relatively flat run course with lake views.

The U.S. Women's Open often is regarded as one of the most challenging events in the sport of bowling, featuring a 56-game marathon on demanding playing conditions to determine the finalists and winner of the coveted green jacket. Competitors at the U.S. Women's Open bowl 32 qualifying games over four days before the field is cut to the top 24 players for round-robin match play. At the conclusion of match play, 56-game totals, including 30 bonus pins for each win in match play, determine the players advancing to the stepladder finals.
