The 2025 USA Triathlon Multisport Festival is coming back to Omaha! Races will be held at Lake Cunningham, a 390-acre lake surrounded by a 1,050-acre park located in north central Omaha. Lake Cunningham underwent significant renovations beginning in 2017 and reopened in August 2021. Athletes can expect a rolling bike course with a scenic and relatively flat run course with lake views.
It’s back! The Omaha Sports Commission and the Council Bluffs CVB are hosting the 2025 US Open for Badminton at the Mid-America Center. Join us in watching these spectacular athletes some of which competed in the 2024 olympic games.
The Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) is a professional women’s softball league featuring four teams playing a 24-game season in a traditional format. It creates a new opportunity for the world's best professional softball players to compete. It is complemented by the AUSL All-Star Cup – a four-week season where 60 athletes compete utilizing Athletes Unlimited’s innovative format.
The Platte River Rumble is a series of cross country races held at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park in Ashland, NE. This meet will bring colleges from the region together for a race before their conference meets.
The Big East Conference will host its Cross Country Championships at Mahoney State Park.
Join us for the HOLLY JOLLIEST fun run in the La Vista City Centre! Fun for all ages and “running” abilities. Be ready to suit up in your provided holiday gear and conquer the obstacles set by the North Pole elves. Total distance for this fun run is a 2k. Adults: $25 Children (13&under): $10 The first 200 adults (14+) will receive a Santa Suit. Children (13&under) will receive festive holiday inspired headband. All Holiday attire will be one size fits all.
The winner of the 2026 Omaha Sports Commission Spelling Bee will qualify for the Scripps National Spelling Bee taking place on Memorial Day Week in Washington DC!
