The Pokercycle is an 11-ish mile bicycle ride\, open to all ages\, utilizing multi-use trails in North Platte\, including some on-road\, multi-use and gravel trails. This is NOT a race. \nSaturday\, April 8th\nRegistration/Check-in : 1PM\nPokercycle Begins : 2 PM \nStart/Finish\, hosted by:\nPals Brewing Company\n4520 S Buffalo Bill Ave.\, North Platte \n  \nAdvance Registration ………. $25/rider \nDeadline to register online 11:59PM on 4/7/23 \nDay of Registration ………… $35/rider \nRegister By March 13th to be guaranteed a FREE Safety/Tire Patch Kit! \n  \nHow to Play? \n– This is not a race for who can finish the fastest. However\, you will have 3 hours to complete the route in order for your score to count.\n– Along the route\, there will be a number of stations from organizations\, clubs or businesses in which you may be required to complete a riddle\, task\, challenge\, etc… for a chance to win an extra prize sponsored by that organization\, club or business.\n– At each station the rider will also receive a colored poker chip. Each color has a point value; however\, you will not know what the points are until you arrive back at the finish line.\n– You must complete all stops to receive all chips in order to qualify. DESCRIPTION:The 5th Annual North Platte Area Sports Commission Tanking Race is an exciting adventure on a 2-mile trek down the Platte River\, in a stock tank… But why not make it a race and dress up in costumes!\nThis event is an annual fundraiser for the North Platte Area Sports Commission and helps fund and support sports tourism driving events into our community each year. Schedule of Events\n9:00AM – Pals Brewing Company will open for beverages-to-go \n9:30AM – Bus will arrive at Pals Brewing Company to transport racers to the Buffalo Bill State Recreation Area If you choose to ride the bus\, please arrive to Pals by 9:15AM. Bus will leave no later that 9:40AM. If you choose to drive yourself\, please have a State Park Permit and all Team Members must arrive to Buffalo Bill State Recreation Area by 10AM. \n9:45AM – Registration/Tank Assignments \n10-10:45AM – Tank decorating can begin. Each team will have approximately 45 minutes. \n10:45AM – Pre-race meeting \n11:00AM – Tanks will staggered launch from Buffalo Bill State Recreation Area to Cody Park. \nOnce all racers have passed the finish line\, ALL participants will report back to Pals Brewing Company for awards! Estimated time of arrival 1PM. The Fastest Tank is based on time\, rather than who crosses the finish line first! So no one will know who one.

SUMMARY:American Cornhole Organization Master Series Major Tournament
DESCRIPTION:The North Platte Area Sports Commission and the American Cornhole Organization has teamed up to bring you the ACO Master Series Major Cornhole Tournament this January. On Friday\, January 10th\, the ACO will host 4 of its 6 divisions – Juniors\, Seniors\, Women’s\, and Co-ed. Saturday\, January 12th\, is going to be the “big dance” where competitors will compete in the World Doubles and Singles. These 2 divisions are the most popular in the ACO and usually have the most talented and experienced players. Majors are only a points-earning tournament to qualify for Worlds in July\, so to spice up the competition\, The North Platte Area Sports Commission and The North Platte/Lincoln County Visitors Bureau has put in $3\,000 cash purse. Each division will get a piece of the total prize. In 2019\, over 117 competitors from Colorado\, Arkansas\, Missouri\, Tennessee\, Iowa\, Indiana\, Kansas\, Las Vegas\, and California came to Nebraska for the first Great North Conference Major Tournament. The event is FREE to come watch. Onsite concession stands provided by a local 13U baseball team\, Rowdy Rott BBQ\, and a bar provided by the Longhorn Bar. \nRegistration fees depend on what division you compete in.
