DESCRIPTION:The 4th Annual North Platte Area Sports Commission Tanking Race has now been converted to much more than just an exciting adventure on a 2-mile trek down the Platte River\, in a stock tank… Because of the previous “unplanned” Plot Twist of Covid-19- we’re going to try this again… with a little different Plot Twist.\nCost: $140/team of 4\nIf you register by (11:30PM) on September 23rd.\nRegistrations received after September 23rd will increase to $180 and may not be guaranteed a long sleeve t-shirt.\nEach participant will also receive a beer token for Pals Brewing Company (for team members 21+ only)\, a certificate for 1 free pumpkin (valued at $5) at Dusty’s Pumpkin Patch\nYou will be provided with Tanks\, Oars\, and Life Jackets. DESCRIPTION:The North Platte Area Sports Commission and the American Cornhole Organization has teamed up to bring you the ACO Master Series Major Cornhole Tournament this January. On Friday\, January 10th\, the ACO will host 4 of its 6 divisions – Juniors\, Seniors\, Women’s\, and Co-ed. Saturday\, January 12th\, is going to be the “big dance” where competitors will compete in the World Doubles and Singles. These 2 divisions are the most popular in the ACO and usually have the most talented and experienced players. Majors are only a points-earning tournament to qualify for Worlds in July\, so to spice up the competition\, The North Platte Area Sports Commission and The North Platte/Lincoln County Visitors Bureau has put in $3\,000 cash purse. Each division will get a piece of the total prize. In 2019\, over 117 competitors from Colorado\, Arkansas\, Missouri\, Tennessee\, Iowa\, Indiana\, Kansas\, Las Vegas\, and California came to Nebraska for the first Great North Conference Major Tournament. The event is FREE to come watch. DESCRIPTION:With the growing popularity of Cornhole or ”Bag Toss” in the North Platte area\, the North Platte Sports Commission has teamed up with local American Cornhole League (ACL) regional director\, Jen McDermott from Kearney\, to bring you a Midwest Regional Cornhole Tournament at the D&N Event Center. The American Cornhole League is different from other organizations\, as it encourages all ages and skill levels to compete\, at the level that you belong in! So no more competing against the big shots you see on ESPN! Competition levels include: Advanced (for the really\, really good ones)\, Competitive\, and Social (for your average back-yard players). \nFriday\, December 13th at the D&N Event Center\, we will kick things off with a Blind Draw Tournament – 100% payout to the Top 3 + bonus prize money! Cost is $10 per person to enter. Registration begins at 6PM with tournament starting at 7PM. \nGrab your ugliest sweater and join us on Saturday\, December 14th for the ACL Singles and Doubles Tournaments. Registration for Doubles starts at 9am\, with competition starting at 10am. Registration for Singles will begin at 12pm (noon)\, with competition starting at 1pm. Payouts and cost per team/person vary by competition level and division.
