SUMMARY:James O'Rourke Memorial Triathlons
DESCRIPTION:The James O’Rourke Memorial Triathlons are open\, inclusive events that provide athletes of every ability level the opportunity to participate in the sport of triathlon. We offer three divisions — Competitive\, for experienced athletes; Fitness\, for triathletes who are getting started on their journey; and Relay\, which allows teams of three to share the triathlon experience. In addition\, we offer specially-tailored triathlon events for children. \n2020 Race Dates and Times \nEarly packet pickup is available for all races from 7-8 p.m. on Friday. Check-in and final packet pickup begin at 6:30 a.m. on each race day; all athletes must check in on the day of their race\, even if they have already picked up their packets. Mandatory pre-race meeting held at 8 a.m. on race day. \nCompetitive Triathlon\nSaturday\, August 8th\nRace start at 8:30 a.m.\nEarly packet pickup 7-8 p.m. on Friday\, August 7th\nFor athletes with some athletic experience or those who enjoy the challenge of competition.\n• Entrance fee: $48 \nFitness Triathlon\nSunday\, August 9th\nRace start at 8:30 a.m.\nEarly packet pickup 7-8 p.m. on Friday\, August 7th\nFor athletes who wish to improve their fitness\, first-time triathletes\, or those who just want an experience!\n• Entrance fee: $48 \nRelay Triathlon\nSunday\, August 9th\nRace start at 8:30 a.m.\nEarly packet pickup 7-8 p.m. on Friday\, August 7th\nA triathlon for three athletes — one swimmer\, one bicyclist and one runner. Relay divisions are: All Men; All Women; and Co-Ed.\n• Entrance fee: $99 \nKids Triathlon\nFriday\, August 7th\nRace start at 6 p.m.\nPacket pick-up and check-in at 4:30 p.m.\nMandatory Pre-Race Meeting at 5:30 p.m.\nParents may accompany their children in the pool and on the course.\n• Entrance fee (all age groups): $30/individual; $90/relay\nKids Distances:\n6 and under — 25-yard swim\, half-mile bike\, quarter-mile run\n10 and under — 50-yard swim\, 2 mile bike\, half-mile run\n14 and under — 100-yard swim\, 4 mile bike\, 1 mile run
