The event kicks off where top PRCA contestants will compete in all seven rodeo events: Bareback\, Tie Down\, Saddle Bronco\, Steer Wrestling\, Team Roping\, Barrel Racing and Bull Riding. \nPerformances feature more than 400 PRCA contestants\, including world champions\, Wrangler National Finals qualifiers and circuit champions. SUMMARY:Flatwater Fracas Wrestling Event 2024
DESCRIPTION:This is a premier wrestling event in the state of Nebraska.  20+ Teams over a 2 day event.  They will be celebrating the 18th anniversary of the Flatwater Fracas.  Teams from Nebraska\, Kansas\, Wyoming\, and Colorado will be competing.  Boys and Girls will be competing.  The following cities have been involved in the past:  Grand Island Sr High\, Northwest\, Kearney\,  Lexington\, Lincoln East\, Lincoln Southwest Minden\, Norfolk\, Papillion LaVista South\, Seward\, Wood River\, Bellevue West\, Blair\,  Bennington\, Columbus\, Gretna East\, Hastings\, Lincoln Southwest\, Lincoln Southeast\, Waverly   Out of state teams include:  Manhattan\, Eagle Crest\, Garden City\, Smith Center\, Cheyenne East. \nBoth days   Doors open at 8:30 a.m. and Competition begins at 9:30 a.m. \nTickets are available online only\nAdult Day Pass – $15  Student Day Pass – $12  (5-18yo)\nChildren 4 and under – Free\n*Clear Bag Policy will be in effect

SUMMARY:NSAA Class A State Girls Golf Championships
DESCRIPTION:The Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) and Grand Island Tourism are hosting the Class A Girls State Golf Championships.  Girls will compete in their respective districts–qualifying to compete in the State Championship.  Athletes will play 18 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday.  Awards and medals will be presented to teams and individuals at the end of rounds Tuesday.

SUMMARY:Nebraska State Fair - Marathon
DESCRIPTION:Come out to the Nebraska State Fair and compete in the Marathon.  It is a Boston qualifier on a USATF course certification\, where water stations and snacks provided.  Several different age divisions (see website) will compete with Male Female Co-ed\, Cash prizes and medals.   Spectators must purchase a ticket to watch beginning and ending of the race. \nEvents include:  Marathon\, ½ Marathon\, Relay Marathon\, 5K\, 1 Mile Kid Run\, Push Rim Wheelchair\, Handcycle Divisions \nCheck-in is from 5:00-7:00am.  Start time is at 7:00am and last approximately until 12:30pm
